Facts about "Torque Release Technique" PDF Print E-mail

ImageDr. De Luca uses a chiropractic spinal analysis and adjusting technique  called "Torque Release Technique" or TRT. His responsibility is to initiate the adjustment, and clear the pathways for the expression of the body's innate intelligence that encourages the healing process.

Torque release technique utilizes gentle touch and light thrusting by an instrument referred to as the Integrator. This low-force adjusting method allows the nervous system to re-integrate with the rest of the body so that it feels whole and healthy.

The spinal corrections continue even after the adjustment is performed. By breathing naturally and moving about the realigning and shifting of the vertebrae is still occurring. Sometimes this may be noted as a click or popping sound in the spine but most of the time it is noted as an increase sense of well being.

TRT empowers the body to make the necessary corrections, and to generate a natural healing energy with ongoing care.
The analysis and correction with TRT is not limited to the area of pain and discomfort. The integration tends to be thorough and healing occurs in all areas of the body including the mind.

TRT
releases the tension on the spinal cord caused by subluxations of the spinal bones or vertebrae. Certain bones of the spine have a direct link to the spinal cord that can distort the spinal cord if the bones are not functioning properly.
The intent of Torque Release Technique is to reduce the blockages and the tension throughout the nervous system, thereby allowing a greater expression of the body's healing and performance capabilities.

Commonly asked questions about Torque Release What is Torque Release Technique?

TRT is actually a protocol for diagnosing, locating and adjusting subluxations of the spine. The technique is based on the contributions of Drs. Palmer, Van Rumpt (DNFT), Toftness, DeJarnette (SOT), Thompson, Epstein (Network), and Logan. Through a series of light touches, orthopedic tests, and leg length checks the primary location of the subluxations can be identified and then corrected. Overall the gentleness and effectiveness of this procedure makes it a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

ImageWhy does Torque Release Technique work?
TRT uses a tonal approach in its integration of the nervous system. The technique views the spine and the nervous system as a functional unit, i.e. they work together.

In 1910, D. D. Palmer, the founder of Chiropractic, wrote: "Life is an expression of tone. Tone is the normal degree of nerve tension. Tone is expressed in function by normal elasticity, strength, and excitability...the cause of disease is any variation in tone."
This variation in tone refers to the quality of the signal through the nerves. If the quality of the signal is poor then disease is evident. If the quality is normal then health ensues. The quality of the signal through the nerves improves once the interference is removed through the correct adjustment.

What can I expect from Torque Release?

People notice results after the adjustment. Quite often they are amazed at how quickly the technique works, and how wondrous the healing powers of the body really are.  A strong sense of relaxation and well-being is usually felt after the adjustments.
